Founded by Tanja Salem in 2025, Diktyo Economics collaborates and partners with others (academics or consultancy firms) to deliver insightful economic analysis.

Tanja Salem, Founder and Director

Tanja is a competition economist with over 20 years of experience gained in network industries including telecoms, broadcasting, digital as well as in financial services and AI. Prior to founding diktyo, she led the BT Group Economics team, where she advised on competition and regulatory matters of strategic importance to the Group and led pan-BT multi-disciplinary teams to advocate for and evidence BTs positions. Her sweet spot is helping large corporates take smart decisions in transforming regulatory and market contexts.

Prior to joining BT in 2017, Tanja led competition work at Ofcom, the Financial Service Authority, and in consultancy where she worked for clients in a range of sectors internationally including in utilities, financial services and communications.

Prof. Sean Ennis, Associate

Dr. Sean Ennis is an expert on management, strategy and economic policy with more than 25 years of experience focusing on the nexus of business and government. He develops rigorous product market analysis and strategy for the private and public sector. This builds on more than two decades of work focusing on economic and regulatory topics.

Currently, he is a Professor of Competition Policy at the Norwich Business School of the University of East Anglia. Prior to this he served as an economist at the OECD, the European Commission, the Competition Commission of Mauritius and the US Department of Justice. He has worked on many instances of complex litigation involving large businesses.
